Out here properties sit on open ground with nothing breaking the wind for a concession or two in any direction. That changes the spec: fastening schedules that are comfortable in town are the bare minimum on an exposed rural elevation, and a west wall takes weather no sheltered street ever sees.
The other difference is the buildings. A working property has a house, a drive shed, a shop and often a barn, all of which need cladding and all of which have different requirements.
